Established in 1995, GW Auto Repairs has grown into a reputable, family-run garage based in Carlisle, Cumbria. From the earliest days serving locals in and around James Street, the business has consistently been built on a foundation of honesty, excellent value, and dependable service—principles that still define us today.

After decades of service, GW Auto Repairs Ltd was incorporated as a private limited company in June 2017, with Michael and Joanne Wood continuing the legacy as co-directors—bringing both business leadership and hands-on technical expertise.

Our workshop is led by four fully qualified technicians with over 85 years of combined experience, equipped with modern tools such as Snap-On and Sykes-Pickavant diagnostic software. We also house three VOSA-approved MOT testers and operate the latest One Person Testing Lane (OPTL)—ensuring efficiency and DVSA compliance across all MOT classes.
